Since 1991, Riverview has brought learning, nature and fun into the lives of thousands of Maine kids during summer & vacation camps.

Each day brings a dynamic blend of activity and relaxation, offered at a pace where campers have the opportunity to make new friends, enjoy time with old friends, and work cooperatively together.     8:00-9:00am       Campers arrive, morning orientation
    9:00-10:00am     Arts, crafts & games, social time with friends
    10:00-11:00am   Martial arts class, mega obstacle course
    11:00-11:15am   Morning Snack
    11:15-12:15        Nature exploration
    12:15-12:45        Lunch
    12:45-1:15          Quiet time with reading and journaling
    1:15 2:30            Snow fort building and sledding
    2:30-2:45            Afternoon snack
    2:45-4:45            Hike to campsite and fireside treats
    4:45-5:00            Closing circle: daily reflections and tomorrow’s preview
    5:00-5:45            Pack-up and parent pick-up

  • What to Bring — Camp Gear List

    Please send your child with all of the following items for your child’s comfort and safety. To assure your child returns with their proper belongings, please write your child’s name on all of their clothes and gear! We ask that children not bring games, electronics, phones, or other valuable items.

    • Water bottle
    • Snow boots
    • Alternate boots, goulashes, or cold weather footwear
    • Lunch & Snacks
    • Snow pants
    • Warm Coat
    • Hats & mittens / gloves
    • Rain Gear
    • 1-2 plastic trash bags (for wet clothing)
    • Extra: socks, t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, pants

  • Lunch & Snacks

    Campers will need to bring a healthy lunch and healthy snacks every day. Due to the active nature of Riverview camps, we find most children need both a morning and afternoon snack — please pack accordingly. We encourage a healthy lunch that your kids will enjoy, so that their energy is high and their attitude positive. Here are some suggestions:

    GOOD to bring:

    • Healthy sandwich
    • Fruit – apples, oranges, grapes, bananas
    • Veggies – carrots, celery sticks, cucumbers
    • Non-carbonated drinks – juice, water, lemonade
    • Granola bars, trail mix, nuts, raisins
    • Other desired light, energetic food

    AVOID bringing:

    • Candy, sweets, or sugary foods
    • Soda
    • Food that spoils if not refrigerated
    • Heavy foods that deter from good exercise
    • Glass items or breakables
