Kids Who Care keep Maine beautiful at the Great Rake
The campsites and shorelines of Freeport’s Winslow Park were alive with activity as Riverview Families rallied for the 7th annual Kids Who Care, Great Rake! This community service event has become one of our favorite Kids Who Care traditions as we work together at local state parks to help keep Maine’s beautiful.
Neil Lyman, Winslow Park manager, was pleasantly surprised by Riverview’s enthusiasm and productivity. “The work we accomplished today was amazing! Now the campsites are clean and the shoreline is free of trash and other hazards.”
It was the first time to Winslow Park for many of the Riverview’s families, and several are already making plans to come back during the summer for picnics or camping. Our thanks to everyone who helped continue this amazing Great Rake tradition!
